Case study of automation in the component insertion process: Prevention of incorrect loading of similar items, improvement of traceability.

Presenting a collection of case studies! Examples of enhanced traceability through systematization.

We would like to introduce a case study on the automation of the insertion process by JUKI Corporation. Since the insertion process was performed manually, it could not be systematized, leading to delays in discovering defects when they occurred, which sometimes resulted in significant issues. The introduction of "IFS-NX" has helped prevent the incorrect installation of similar products and contributed to improving product quality. Additionally, it has enabled rapid detection and removal of defective parts, significantly enhancing the speed of problem resolution. [Case Overview] ■ Background: Challenges in manual parts management ■ Solution: Strengthening traceability through systematization ■ Effects: Improved traceability and efficiency *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Case study of automation in the parts insertion process: Preventing work stoppage due to parts shortages and improving production efficiency.

Presenting a collection of case studies! Examples of improved production efficiency and strengthened management systems through systematization.

We would like to introduce a case study of automation in the insertion process by JUKI Corporation. Due to the lack of coordination between the manual insertion process and the parts management process, work stoppage time caused by parts shortages was a challenge. Furthermore, there was uncertainty about how to advance systematization and automation, hindering efficiency improvements. As a solution, we implemented the M50, JaNets, and the parts management ISM series. By strengthening the coordination between the parts management process and the manual insertion process, work stoppages due to parts shortages were eliminated, leading to improved production efficiency. [Case Overview] ■ Background: Decreased production efficiency due to work stoppage time and human error ■ Solution: Strengthening process coordination through systematization and automation ■ Effect: Enhanced production efficiency and management system *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Plate-making process automation system

We aim to achieve complete automation of the plate-making process in the printing industry.

The plate-making process for newspaper printing has been automated. It is common to have a system that automates the punching of standard holes in the printing machine after CTP output, the folding of plates specified by the printing machine, and the sorting for each printing machine all on one line, and our company boasts a 50% market share. We also support unprocessed plates and hold a patent that allows us to process both processed and unprocessed plates from various manufacturers without switching tasks. Even in commercial printing, where automation was not yet mainstream, we have been providing automated equipment in collaboration with CTP manufacturers and plate manufacturers. We offer various layouts for printing information, plate bending for each printing machine, and sorting by printing machine or job through a combination of units.

Automation Proposal Example: "Support for Diverse Systems"

We propose the automation of the gate cut process and the outsert press-in process.

We propose the automation of "diverse system compatibility" in the post-molding processes of plastic molded products. Starting with the "gate cut process," which achieves cycle shortening and space-saving, we contribute to speeding up and reducing labor in processes such as the "insert pressure process." 【Effects】 ■ Gate Cut Process - Cuts at optimal positions and timings - Achieves cycle shortening and space-saving ■ Insert Pressure Process - Inserts nuts and collars after molding - Reduces labor and improves productivity through inline processing ■ Welding Process - Automates the loading and unloading to/from the welding machine with robots - Reduces labor and improves productivity through inline processing ■ Decoration System Proposal - Implements inline decoration such as inkjet printing and metal film coating on plastic molded products *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
